UnionBook is the social networking website for trade unionists.

UnionBook offers:

  • Free blogs for all trade unionists.
  • The possibility to create Groups for your union — and each group can have its own message board, group pages, files (including photos) and more.
  • A fully-configurable Dashboard (home page) featuring drag and drop „widgets“ such as your friends, your files, your pages, etc.
  • A Twitter-like short message feature called The Wire.
  • And much more.

Why do we need a social networking site for trade unionists? Read the
explanation on UnionBook! But the short answer is — we need a social
network that’s non-commercial, respects our privacy, and is designed to
support us in our efforts to campaign and organize.

We’re not suggesting that anyone quit Facebook. But we are asking you to
consider also opening an account on UnionBook and trying it out.

Once you’ve signed up, please make sure to scroll to the bottom of any page
on UnionBook and look at the section called „Spotlight“ – this is where you’ll find the answers to most of your questions. If something’s not explained clearly, post a comment there and someone will respond to you.

Join the UnionBook-Group on Facebook!
